Every APHA member is as beautiful and unique as the Paint Horses that bring us together, and for the third year in a row, Chrome has harnessed that star power in its annual APHA Member Model Search. More than 130 applicants took their shot at shining in the spotlight, and after arduous deliberation, 10 finalists were selected from the field of talented candidates.
Danyelle Harp of Lake Stevens, Washington, and Jeremy White of Gainesville, Florida, were Chrome’s 2016 model search winners, following a week of public online voting that generated 3,867 casted ballots. These two grand-prize winners earn a staring role in Chrome’s winter fashion shoot, including an expenses-paid trip to Fort Worth, Texas, for the photo shoot.
Danyelle Harp
A 24-year-old from Lake Stevens, Washington, Danyelle has always been a Paint lover. She currently owns two: The Magic Look, a 2004 sorrel overo gelding, and I Got Big Plans, a 2009 sorrel overo gelding; she shows in all-around competition. Danyelle has combined her passion for Paints with her artistic vision to create a thriving equestrian photography business, named after her Paint. But her experience isn’t limited to behind the camera or in the showpen.
“I’ve modeled everywhere from in-studio to snow-capped mountain-top streams in my late teens and early 20s,” Danyelle said. “It’s unreal to be chosen for this shoot. I’m so excited!”
Jeremy White
Jeremy White, a 25-year-old horseman from Gainesville, Florida, was thrilled to be able to combine his favorite things by competing in the Chrome Model Search.
“I’ve been involved in the horse industry for the last 10 years, and horses have always been my passion, along with photography and medicine,” Jeremy said.
Jeremy is currently attending Santa Fe College in pursuit of a nursing degree.
