World Championship Show Dates & Deadlines

  • 2024 APHA World Championship Show (Open/Amateur/Youth): June 21 – July 7, 2024
    Will Rogers Memorial Center – Fort Worth, Texas

    • APHA Open/Amateur/Youth World Championships (Exception: APHA Halter World Championship Classes will be held in September 2024, except Performance Halter and Color classes.)
    • APHA Breeders’ Futurity Performance classes
    • 2024 IEA Western National Finals
    • Amateur Walk-Trot Exhibitor Eligibility Requirements: To qualify to compete in Amateur Walk-Trot classes at the World Show, exhibitors must hold a current Amateur Walk-Trot card by May 15, 2024 for the 2024 APHA World Show. If a current Amateur Walk-Trot card has not been held by May 15, 2024 for the 2024 APHA World Show, an exhibitor may apply for one to show at the World Show if the following conditions apply: an exhibitor may not have earned any points in performance classes (Open and/or Amateur divisions) with APHA or any other recognized association during the current calendar year.  Halter and in-hand classes do not count against eligibility.
    • 2024 Youth World Championship Class Eligibility Requirements: All horses entered in Youth World Championship classes must be owned/leased by the youth exhibitor or an eligible family member per Rule YP-015 as recorded by APHA by the pre-entry deadline May 15 to be eligible for Youth World Show scholarships. Youth or eligible family members who own/lease their horses after the May 15 postmark deadline (as recorded by APHA) and by 5 p.m. the day prior to the class in which they are competing are eligible to compete for Youth World Show titles and awards, but will not be eligible to earn scholarship money.
    • 2024 Amateur World Championship Class Eligibility Requirements: All horses entered in Amateur World Championship classes must be owned/leased by the amateur exhibitor or an eligible family member as recorded by APHA by 5 p.m. the day prior to the class in which the horse is to be exhibited in their respective classes.
      During the show, transfer/leasing of horses competing in the show may be completed for Open, Amateur, and Youth classes.
    • No Qualifying Required

 

  • APHA/WCHA Halter Million: September 21-29, 2024
    Will Rogers Memorial Center – Fort Worth, Texas

      • APHA Halter World Championship Classes – Open/Amateur/Youth (All Classes, All Ages)

    Exception: Performance Halter & Color classes will continue to be held in the summer.

    • APHA Platinum & Gold Breeders’ Futurity Halter classes
    • WCHA Breeders’ Championship & Big Money Halter Futurities
    • No Qualifying Required

 

FUTURE DATES

2025 – 

World Show: June 20-July 6, 2025
Halter Million: September 20-28, 2025

2026 – 

World Show: June 19-July 5, 2026
Halter Million: September 26-October 4, 2026

Class Cancellation:
A class will be held for a minimum of three years before it will be considered for cancellation.  If after three years, a class does not meet the six entry minimum requirement, it will be considered for cancellation in subsequent years.
