World Championship Show Dates & Deadlines

 

 

2022 Open / Amateur/ Youth World Show Dates June 24 – July 10
Premium book & forms available online (premium books will not be mailed) April
Breeders’ Trust Pleasure Stakes initial payment deadline (Open & Non-Pro) April 1
Gold Breeders’ Futurity Performance Classes initial payment deadline April 15
Pre-Entry, Stall & RV reservations deadline May 16
Post-Entry deadline – up until 5 p.m., the day
before the class you plan to enter. Late fees apply.
Beginning May 17
Late RV Reservations will be assessed a late fee Beginning May 17
Late Stall Reservations will be assessed a late fee Beginning May 17
Breeders’ Trust Pleasure Stakes second payment deadline (Open & Non-Pro) June 1

2022 APHA World Show

  • APHA World Championship Show (Open/Amateur/Youth): June 24 – July 10, 2022
    Exception: ALL APHA Halter World Championship Classes will be held in September 2022, except Performance Halter and Color classes.
    Will Rogers Memorial Center – Fort Worth, Texas

    • APHA Open/Amateur/Youth World Championships (Exception: APHA Halter World Championship Classes will be held in September 2022, except Performance Halter and Color classes.)
    • APHA Breeders’ Futurity Performance classes
    • Amateur Walk-Trot Exhibitor Eligibility Requirements: To qualify to compete in Amateur Walk-Trot classes at the World Show, exhibitors must hold a current Amateur Walk-Trot card by May 16, 2022 for the 2022 APHA World Show. If a current Amateur Walk-Trot card has not been held by May 16, 2022 for the 2022 APHA World Show, an exhibitor may apply for one to show at the World Show if the following conditions apply: an exhibitor may not have earned any points in performance classes (Open and/or Amateur divisions) with APHA or any other recognized association during the current calendar year.  Halter and in-hand classes do not count against eligibility.
    • 2022 Youth World Championship Class Eligibility Requirements: All horses entered in Youth World Championship classes must be owned/leased by the youth exhibitor or an eligible family member per Rule YP-015 as recorded by APHA by the pre-entry deadline May 16 to be eligible for Youth World Show scholarships. Youth or eligible family members who own/lease their horses after the May 16 postmark deadline (as recorded by APHA) are eligible to compete for Youth World Show titles and awards, but will not be eligible to earn scholarship money.
    • 2022 Amateur World Championship Class Eligibility Requirements: All horses entered in Amateur World Championship classes must be owned/leased by the amateur exhibitor or an eligible family member as recorded by APHA at the time of showing in their respective classes.
      During the show, transfer/leasing of horses competing in the show may be completed for Open, Amateur and Youth classes.
    • No Qualifying Required

 

  • APHA/WCHA Halter Million: September 24-October 2, 2022
    Will Rogers Memorial Center – Fort Worth, Texas

    • APHA Halter World Championship Classes – Open/Amateur/Youth (All Classes, All Ages)
    • Exception: Performance Halter & Color classes will continue to be held in the summer.

    • APHA Platinum & Gold Breeders’ Futurity Halter classes
    • WCHA Breeders’ Championship & Big Money Halter Futurities
    • No Qualifying Required

 
2023 APHA World Show Dates

  • APHA World Show – June 23-July 9, 2023
  • APHA/WCHA Halter Million – September 23-October 1, 2023

 

Class Cancellation:

A class will be held for a minimum of three years before it will be considered for cancellation.  If after three years, a class does not meet the six entry minimum requirement, it will be considered for cancellation in subsequent years.
