APHA Corporate Partner Farnam renews partnership

APHA is pleased to announce Farnam Companies Inc. has renewed its corporate partner sponsorship with the association through 2016. The association’s Official Partner in Horse Care since 2012, Farnam has helped APHA members provide their Paint Horses with the highest standard in care while developing deep partnerships with the animals they love.

The partnership between APHA and Farnam has been a positive experience for APHA members, Executive Director Billy Smith says. The renewal is especially good news for owners of Paints eligible for the rich Farnam Breeders’ Trust Select Stakes classes at the APHA World Championship Show, which pay out more than $50,000 annually.

“The Farnam Stakes classes have proven an exciting addition to the APHA World Show, especially since its expansion to include 3- and 4-year-old horses in 2014,” Billy said.
With its partnership, Farnam will continue as APHA’s official fly control, grooming, wound care, hoof care and dewormer supplier; the company has also expanded its role to include official status in digestive health products. Farnam’s high-profile brands include Vetrolin® and Laser Sheen® grooming products, Endure® Sweat-Resistant Fly Spray, Apple Elite® electrolytes, DigestAid®, SuperMask® fly masks and Horseshoers Secret®. AjPHA and APHA World Show exhibitors have the opportunity to try Farnam’s product line-up at the shows—Farnam provides product samples at the shows’ wash racks and complimentary gifts for all exhibitors.

“We have received tremendous feedback from Paint Horse members, and the visibility and growth for our products has been invaluable,” Farnam General Manager Mark Chenoweth said. “APHA has become a staple in our marketing and communication strategy, and Farnam appreciates the opportunity to sponsor the association.”

On top of adding more than $20,000 to the 2-, 3- and 4-year-old Farnam Stakes Western pleasure and hunter under saddle classes, Farnam will continue to provide prize packs for more than 250 APHA and AjPHA world champions. The partnership also includes two $1,000 Farnam Breeders’ Trust Scholarships for AjPHA members annually, $1,000 to be split between the winners’ regional clubs of choice, as well as added money and prizes for competitors in APHA’s Paint Barrel Racing Incentive Program and ranch horse pleasure classes.
