Sort with the Best

The best sorters in the country are making plans to showdown at the Ranch Sorting National Championships World Finals June 8–13 at the Will Rogers Memorial Complex in Fort Worth, Texas. Are you and your Paint ready to compete with the best?

The six-day competition features tough classes—including a Paint-only division—and more than $30,000 in prizes including 13 trophy saddles. Last year, Paints and their riders took home more than $4,500 and plenty of prizes.

In addition to top payouts and prizes, the World Finals marks a prime opportunity for Paint Horse riders to qualify for the 2015 APHA World Championship Show. To qualify in ranch sorting for the World Show, horses must compete at two different events with a minimum of four judges total. The RSNC World Finals count as one of those events.

The RSNC Sire Breeders Futurity & Maturity is open to offspring of any nominated stallion and takes place concurrently with the World Finals. A minimum of $10,000 will be added to each maturity and $5,000 to each futurity, including pro and non-pro classes for each. Nominated Paint stallions include Tru Oakley, Like A Fancy Diamond, Rolex N Starlight, A Tru Rolex, Like A Diamond, Passion Buck and Gay Bar Drummer. The pro and non-pro futurity champions will win one-year’s use of a 4-Star Trailer.

Heading to Fort Worth for the competition? Let Flash know! You could be featured online, in print or via social media.

While you’re in town, swing by the APHA headquarters, located at 2800 Meacham Blvd., to tour the building, shop the APHA General Store and learn more about the association.
