Put Your Name On It
Your gift will be used for one of four key initiatives surrounding APHA’s move to the Fort Worth Stockyards:
Restoration and Relocation of the iconic “Legacy of Color” Bronze Statues
The Amon Carter Foundation has provided a $125,000 grant to help offset the costs of refurbishing and moving the “Legacy of Color” large bronze statues depicting four American Paint Horses from their current location outside APHA headquarters to their new home near APHA’s future headquarters in the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District in 2019. Additional gifts are still needed for this, as well as for the bronzes’ yearly maintenance. The Foundation’s goal is to raise an additional $375,000 to support upgraded site development and maintenance of the bronzes for ten years.
APHA International Headquarters/Hall of Fame & Educational Outreach Center
Your gift will help offset the costs of converting APHA’s new headquarters in the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District to a must-see attraction showcasing our beautiful breed and developing a physical Hall of Fame in the mezzanine. The estimated cost is an additional $900,000.
Completion of our Youth World Show Scholarship Endowment
The completion of a $3,000,000 Youth World Show endowment will underwrite more than $100,000 in scholarship funds each year, allowing the future Youth World Shows to continue to be all-scholarship shows. By adding a scholarship goal to our capital campaign, we’re harnessing the energy of our headquarters move to support our Youth. In the end, we’ll have a new venue to introduce young people to Paint Horses, and an attractive avenue with which to reward their equine endeavors as they grow.
You belong to the greatest breed organization in the world. Now you can celebrate that distinction with a commemorative APHA brick in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. Bricks purchased will be located in an area surrounding the future location of the Legacy of Color bronze statues. Your engraved brick will forever honor your favorite club, person or horse. Proceeds from your brick purchase will go toward APHA’s new Hall of Fame museum and education center. Each 8″ x 8″ brick is $1,500 and can have a maximum of 5 lines with a maximum of 19 characters, while a 4″ x 8″ brick is $1,000 and can have a maximum of 3 lines. Offer will end December 31, 2018, or when the space is sold out.
