AjPHA members awarded Youth Leadership Conference scholarships

Make friends, talk Paints and help lead the horse industry at the annual Youth Leadership Conference, held in conjunction with the 2017 APHA Convention!

Two $750 travel scholarships were awarded to help AjPHA members attend the conference—one scholarships was earmarked for a first-time YLC attendee and the other for a current AjPHA national director.

Congratulations to:

Hannah Murusky—2016-17 AjPHA national director YLC scholarship recipient
Chiara Traub—First-time attendee YLC scholarship recipient
Don’t forget—registration for the Youth Leadership Conference is still open, and ALL AjPHA members are invited to attend. Register today!

This year’s “Paints by Numbers” conference explores ways to increase numbers at APHA at grassroots levels, getting young horse lovers “hooked” on Paints and how to help our colorful horses stand out in the greater equine community.

In addition to constructive discussions and presentations, participants enjoy fun team-building exercises, games and a day trip. Youth also have the opportunity to join the Youth committee’s directors’ meeting, where they can provide personal insights and opinions on current issues affecting AjPHA members.
