Every year, the Rocky Mountain Paint Horse Association of Colorado invites members for a day at the races at Arapahoe Park, and this year, more than 45 people joined the club for a day of friendly betting, door prizes and fun on August 16.
Jean Fell, past president of the RMPHA, says it’s a fun outing to get people together in a different way from the normal shows and club meetings. For more than 10 years, they’ve coordinated a day at the track, and Jean says she usually gets her door prizes from the APHA General Store.
“It’s a fun outing for everyone,” Jean said.
This year, they even got to pose with a winner from the day, Ominous Sky (TB), owned by Donna Eaton and trained by Dwain Eaton.
