Better Barrel Races partnered with APHA to offer the first ever Paint Barrel Race Incentive at the BBR World Finals, April 19-24 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Paint barrel racers from 10 states ran at the PBRIP sidepot—with $1,000 in added money and 86 entries, the PBRIP sidepot had a payout of over $4,000.
1D Winner: Jamey Hunt & Gripe Gut
Jamey Hunt form McAlpin, Florida, ran the fastest time in the Open Qualifying Race and the fastest time in the PBRIP Sidepot, banking a total check worth $5,984.00. Gripe Gut is a 2014 sorrel solid gelding by Jungle Jet and out of Redneck Gal, owned by Ashley Hunt of McAlpine.
- 2D Winner: Erin Corley on JL High Roller – $401
- 3D Winner: Sheri Eckerman on The Halo Effect – $321
- 4D Winner: Joan Morgan on Starlight Remedy – $240
- 5D Winner: Kira Anthony on Painted by Traffic – $160
