Jamey Hunt & Gripe Gut score almost $6K with 2022 Better Barrel Racing World Finals Paint Barrel Incentive

Better Barrel Races partnered with APHA to offer the first ever Paint Barrel Race Incentive at the BBR World Finals, April 19-24 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Paint barrel racers from 10 states ran at the PBRIP sidepot—with $1,000 in added money and 86 entries, the PBRIP sidepot had a payout of over $4,000.

1D Winner: Jamey Hunt & Gripe Gut

Jamey Hunt form McAlpin, Florida, ran the fastest time in the Open Qualifying Race and the fastest time in the PBRIP Sidepot, banking a total check worth $5,984.00. Gripe Gut is a 2014 sorrel solid gelding by Jungle Jet and out of Redneck Gal, owned by Ashley Hunt of McAlpine.

 

  • 2D Winner: Erin Corley on JL High Roller – $401
  • 3D Winner: Sheri Eckerman on The Halo Effect – $321
  • 4D Winner: Joan Morgan on Starlight Remedy – $240
  • 5D Winner: Kira Anthony on Painted by Traffic – $160
