Industry support provides unprecedented scholarship awards program for exhibitors at 2013 AjPHA Youth World Championship Show

$20,000 in scholarships will be presented to top youth showing Paint Horses

FORT WORTH—Youth exhibitors at the upcoming 2013 AjPHA Youth World Championship Show will be the beneficiaries of an unprecedented number of scholarships when they arrive in Fort Worth for showcase competition June 29-July 6 at Will Rogers Memorial Center.

Thanks to the support and planning of Paint Horse breeder Judy Ford of Whitesboro, Texas, along with Larry Morse and Robin Robinett of Brazil, Indiana, a group of individuals within the halter industry (see list below) are awarding scholarships to every World Champion and Reserve World Champion in halter classes at the Youth World Show. Each Youth halter World Champion will receive a $1,000 scholarship while each Youth halter Reserve World Champion will receive a $500 scholarship.

All-Around winners in Novice Youth, 13 & Under, and 14-18 divisions at the AjPHA Youth World Show will each receive a $1,000 scholarship thanks to Lance Jordan, the Oklahoma Paint Horse Club and Kevin Smith.

Additionally, APHA corporate partner Hart Trailer will recognize our Superior Sportsmanship winner with a $500 scholarship and one participant in the Boot Camp will be selected for a $500 scholarship.

Hart Trailer also sponsors scholarships for the High-Point Overall Junior and Senior finishers at our annual Youth Judging Contest, held in conjunction with the Youth World Show. Each will receive a $500 scholarship.

Whether it’s halter horses or riding horses, the Paint community is proving its commitment to Youth and education.
