Chrome Cash hits a sweet spot at the NRHA European Derby in France

APHA’s innovative incentive program, Chrome Cash, made its European debut last month in France at the Equita Lyon horse fair. More than €10.000 in prize money was awarded to APHA members and registered Paint Horses at the event, which boasted record-breaking attendance. Congratulations to this inaugural class of champions.

  • Wimpy Special Gun & Tiara Van Dongen: APHA Open Chrome Cash Champion
    Presented by Arcese Quarter Horses and Gunnatrasha, the inaugural APHA Open Chrome Cash Champion title went to Wimpy Special Gun and Tiara Van Dongen (pictured above), earning a score of 208 and €1,995. Wimpy Special Gun is a 2014 sorrel overo mare by One Gun and out of Ruff And Tuff Wimpy (QH); she is owned by Catharina Smesters of Bocholt, Belgium.
Nikolai Stiller & Hollywood Gunrunner
  • Hollywood Gunrunner & Nikolai Stiller: APHA Amateur Chrome Cash Champion
    Nikolai and his mare scored 216.5 and pocketed a cool €2,021 and the title of APHA Amateur Chrome Cash Champions, presented by Phantom Face Dunnit, in addition to their win in the Grand Prix Non-Pro class. Hollywood Gunrunner is a 2012 bay overo mare by Colonels Smokingun and out of Dun It For Missy (QH); she is owned by Nikolai who is from Pulheim, Germany.

 

  • Maytheforcebewhizyou & Mirko Midili: APHA Derby Open Level 4 Chrome Cash Champion

    Mirko Midili & Maytheforcebewhizyou

    Presented by APHA and Volker Schmitt Reining Horses, the APHA Derby Open Level 4 Chrome Cash title and €776 went to Mirko Midili and Maytheforcebewhizyou. The duo marked a 227 for owner Alberto Capello of Busca, Italy, and were reserve champions in the LL Technology Euro Derby Open Level 4. Maytheforcebewhizyou is a 2014 bay solid stallion by Spooks Gotta Whiz and out of Jac Golden Faith (QH).

     

  • Dance Gotta Gun & Stephanie Blessing: APHA Derby Non Pro Level 4 Chrome Cash Co-Champion
    Stephanie Blessing & Dance Gotta Gun

    Two winners shared the spotlight and the title of APHA Derby Non Pro Level 4 Champion, presented by APHA and Jinetes Del Cielo. Stephanie Blessing scored a 213 to earn €747 with Dance Gotta Gun (pictured right), a 2016 bay solid mare by Spooks Gotta Gun and out of Dance Little Spook (QH); she’s owned by Grey Stone Ranch GmbH, located in Herbolzheim, Germany.

 

 

  • Cant Hide A Gun & Markus Spreitzhofer: APHA Derby Non Pro Level 4 Chrome Cash Co-Champion
  • Markus Spreitzhofer & Cant Hide A Gun

    Markus Spreitzhofer and Cant Hide A Gun also marked a 213, earning co-champion honors in the APHA Derby Non Pro Level 4 Chrome Cash class and €747. The 2013 bay tobiano stallion is by The Big Gun and out of Cattrena and is owned by Markus who is from Rettenegg, Austria.
