Color Breed Council announces first annual International Equine Judges Academy educational seminar for 2014

Seminar provides learning opportunity for exhibitors and prospective judges

FORT WORTH—The Color Breed Council (CBC) recently announced dates for their first educational judges academy, to be held in 2014.

The Color Breed Council is comprised of officers representing various color breed equine associations, including the American Paint Horse Association. The council’s primary function is hosting the International Equine Judges Seminar to train and qualify industry judges.

They are proud to announce their first annual Judges Academy, to be held January 24-26, 2014, at the Doubletree Hilton by Hilton Warrenplace in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The informative academy kicks off on Friday evening with an introduction to judging. Prospective and current judges, as well as collegiate judging teams and exhibitors from all disciplines, are invited to attend. Seminars will cover a wide array of classes, including performance and halter classes for stock, pleasure and saddle type horses, as well as ponies and miniatures.

“The Color Breed Council is extremely excited to offer this opportunity for judges of all expertise levels to either increase or develop their judging knowledge,” said Joe Grissom, Color Breed Council coordinator. “In addition to the International Equine Judges Seminar, the academy provides another avenue to make sure our industry judges are prepared and trained to be their very best in the show ring!”

A scribe seminar will be held on Sunday, presented by some of the world’s best scribes and ring stewards.

Registration fees vary depending upon the seminars attended and whether you are a current judge or a student. Find the complete schedule and registration form at www.colorbreedcouncil.com.
