APHA/WCHA Halter Million creates unprecedented opportunities for halter exhibitors

By Josie Fladager

APHA and WCHA have joined forces to bring exhibitors a premier competition in 2022: the Halter Million.

The show features all of APHA’s halter world championship classes, excluding performance halter and color classes. No qualification is required to be eligible to compete for more than $1 million in total payouts.

The APHA/WCHA Halter Million takes place at Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas, September 24-October 2.  Alongside world titles, this standout show will provide even more exciting opportunities for halter exhibitors, including:

  • $20,000 bonus payout to exhibitors who also show at The Breeders Halter Futurity in Des Moines, Iowa, September 13-17
  • APHA Platinum & Gold Breeders’ Futurity halter classes
  • WCHA Breeders’ Championship & Big Money Halter Futurities
  • Leading Breeder and Owner/Breeder/Exhibitor awards

In conjunction with the Halter Million, APHA will host the HorseIQ Collegiate and Youth Horse Judging Contest, as well as an all-breed barrel race produced by Wild West Promotions.
