The APHA community is saddened to hear of the passing of Liz Haverty on January 26.
Liz, born in 1951, trained and showed world champion Western pleasure horses before taking up reining. She was wife of NRHA Hall of Fame Inductee Clint Haverty and mother of Zane Haverty. A family operation in Krum, Texas, Haverty Ranch has shown and produced noteworthy Paint reining horses such as Mark This Spot, Spooks Gotta Whiz and Colonels Smokingun.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors.
