Significant price increases in costs of goods necessary to provide APHA services has resulted in cost-inflation of up to 30% in some areas, including paper, printing and employee costs. To provide members with better services during an inflationary period, we are investing in our staff and our programs. To combat these significant cost increases, the APHA board of directors has approved some targeted fee increases along with modest fee reductions in other fees.
The effect will allow APHA to maintain current service levels in all of its programs. As state directors, we want you to have all the tools you need to answer any questions you may receive from members:
- While we can and have made some significant cuts to keep services and programs in place, we’ve targeted fee increases in some areas.
- Some fees, including online DNA genetic typing testing, Amateur/Novice cards and show leases, were unchanged or slightly decreased. Other fee increases were kept as minimal as possible for online-submitted work, which costs APHA less to process. See more details here.
- We’re adding additional resources in MemberCare to better serve members and speed delivery.
- We’re continuing to increase purse money to our exhibitor community through the yields from APHA’s wise investments that helps support:
- Chrome Cash
- World Show Purses
- National Shows
