2022 Youth World Games return to Germany

After a postponement in 2020 and a virtual event in 2021, APHA is excited to announce the 2022 Youth World Games will take place August 21-25 during the European Paint Horse Championship in Kreuth, Germany.

Offered biannually, APHA’s Youth World Games is an opportunity for the association’s top Youth to represent their countries in an exciting team competition. Exhibitors randomly draw a horse to show in one of four classes: showmanship, Western horsemanship, hunt-seat equitation and ranch riding. Awards are presented in each class as well as to top teams overall.

Want to participate?

  • Teams—one per country—are made up of three to five competitors and one coach and/or manager. All must be current APHA members in a good standing and citizens of the country they represent.
  • Interested Youth should contact their local APHA affiliate. For Team USA, an online application will be posted by March 31. Teams are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs.
  • The deadline to pre-enter a team is March 31. An online entry form will be available by the end of February.
  • Team members must be named by July 15.
