2020 Chrome Model Search winners announced

Paints turn heads wherever they go, and the people who love them tend to do the same. Now, two lucky APHA members get the chance to stand out themselves as they grace the pages of Chrome as winners of the 2020 Chrome APHA Member Model Search.

Chrome, APHA’s Western lifestyle magazine, realizes the star power of the association’s members and selected two equestrians to headline its popular Winter Fashion Issue. Nearly 70 members threw their hats into the ring for consideration, and after much deliberation, the field was narrowed to 10 finalists, with public voting to determine the grand-prize winners.

Anthony Leier

The grand-prize winners of Chrome’s 2020 APHA Member Model Search are Anthony Leier of Gordonville, Texas, and Raygan Follis of Colleyville, Texas. They rose to the top of their respective categories during a week of public online voting, which saw more than 3,800 unique votes cast for our 10 finalists.

Anthony Leier

A horse trainer, Anthony specializes in preparing yearlings for longe-line classes, which he says can be a great stepping stone in preparing the horse for a future under-saddle career. His successes include a 2018 APHA reserve world championship in with Vow To Be Invested.

Raygan Follis

Horse-crazy since age 6, Raygan started showing in APHA events at age 12; her Paints have included Mr Cool Zippo, Hooray Hes Hot and Ill Be Sensational. “Ray” loves spending time outdoors and calls herself “adventurous, funny and kind.”

“I love being with my horses and thrive on putting in the work to accomplish my goals. My horses have provided many opportunities to make lifelong friends and memories and they have helped me grow in my personal journey. I can’t imagine a life without a horse in it,” she said.

As the APHA Member Model Search grand-prize winners, Anthony and Raygan will star in Chrome’s winter fashion feature.

Chrome also congratulates our 2020 Top 10 finalists (listed below), along with everyone who applied for and voted in this contest. We’re always excited to meet our APHA members, who are truly beautiful inside and out.
