2018 Platinum Breeders’ Futurity estimated purse exceed $118,000

Numbers are WAY up for the 2018 Platinum Breeders’ Trust competition taking place at the 2018 APHA World Championship Show, September 17–30. The total estimated purse is now $118,690!

This is an increase of $45,390 over the 2017 Platinum division purse, with 32 horses (as of September 10) entered to compete in 2018 World Show Platinum classes.

Platinum Breeders’ Futurity classes offered at the 2018 APHA World Show include:

  • Platinum Non-Pro Weanling Stallions
  • Platinum Non-Pro Weanling Mares
  • Platinum Non-Pro Weanling Geldings
  • Platinum Non-Pro SPB Weanling Mares
  • Platinum Non-Pro SPB Weanling Stallions & Geldings

“APHA saw 15 stallions enroll in the Platinum program this year, along with 79 mare nominations. Without the dedication of these stallion owners and mare nominators, we would not have the increases we are seeing in these classes. We have seen some real growth this year, and next year we are hoping to see even more,” Director of Breeders’ Trust/Breeders’ Futurity Matt Arias said.
