Twelve teams vied for the top spot in two divisions, at the National Collegiate Equestrian Association’s National Championship at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida, April 14–17. but these student-athletes have been working hard all year in and out of the arena.
APHA is proud to sponsor two awards that recognize NCAA riders for excellence in the classroom: the Elite Equestrian Award and the Academic Honor Roll.
The APHA/NCEA Elite Equestrian Award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest GPA of any woman competing at the NCEA National Championship. Congratulations to Kaitlyn Lovingfoss of Canyon Country, California, for winning this prestigious award. Kaitlyn maintained a GPA of 4.0 while studying political science.
The APHA/NCEA Academic Honor Roll recognizes those athletes who have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.25 throughout the previous spring and fall semesters as full-time students.
