Junior Horse recognition to be provided in 13 APHA World Show classes

A special slate of Junior Horse awards will be offered in select all-age Open world championship classes at the 2022 APHA World Championship Show, taking place June 24-July 10 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

The program was recommended by the World Show Advisory Committee in an effort to provide incentives for exhibitors showing horses age 5 and under in all-age Open competition. Special awards to the Top Three participating Junior horses will be offered in the following classes:

  • Performance Halter Mares
  • Performance Halter Geldings
  • Heading
  • Heeling
  • Steer Stopping
  • Pole Bending
  • Ranch Cow Work
  • Ranch Cutting
  • Ranch Pleasure
  • Ranch Rail Pleasure
  • Ranch Reining
  • Ranch Trail
  • Working Hunter

To participate, the Junior Horse Recognition entry fee must be paid by 5 p.m. the day before the class takes place. More details will be provided in the 2022 World Show Premium Book, which will be available at apha.com/worldshow.
