Submit your 2020 Youth World Games team applications and Team USA applications

Calling all AjPHA members from across the globe—start assembling your country’s team for the 2020 Youth World Games! Returning to Kreuth, Germany for the second time, the 2020 Youth World Games promises to be full of amazing rides, fierce competition, worldwide friendships and experiences to last a lifetime.

All Teams: Fill out Team Commitment Form by Dec. 31

All countries intending to submit a team to the 2020 Youth World Games must complete the Team Commitment Form and pay the $150 entry fee by December 31, 2019. Teams are only required to declare intention to bring a team, name a coach/manager and pay the entry fee—they do not need to name team member names until the deadline of May 15, 2020.

A team is made up of four Youth to compete in one class each (horsemanship, showmanship, hunt-seat equitation and ranch riding) and a Youth team captain, who will act as an alternate if the need arises. Youth must be age 18 or under as of January 1, 2020. Any team submitting their Team Commitment Form after December 31, 2019, will pay the late entry fee of $250.

Calling U.S. Youth: Team USA applications now open

We’re looking for FIVE dedicated AjPHA members to create Team USA’s 2020 Youth World Games team.

Team USA Applications are available now, and it’s only available online. All interested applicants must apply by December 31, 2019. Applicants for Team USA must be an AjPHA member in good standing, age 18 or under as of January 1, 2020, and a U.S. citizen. To apply, please send a completed application, the $45 application fee, a 2-3 minute video, two letters of recommendation and a headshot photograph. The members of Team USA will be announced by early February.

Calling U.S. Adults: Team USA Committee is hunting for 2020 Team USA Manager

The Team USA Manager works with Team USA Coach Pat Trebesch and the team’s Youth members for fundraising, trip planning, procuring team apparel and other preparations for the 2020 Team USA’s trip to Germany. The manager will attend the 2020 Youth World Games. If you are interested in applying to serve in this role, please complete the Team USA Manager Application by December 31, 2019. Applicant must be an APHA member in good standing, a U.S. citizen with a passport/ability to obtain a passport and at least 25 years old.
