Pre-entries are due by August 21, and the entry fee is $35 per contestant—contestants must have a current APHA or AjPHA membership. All entries received after August 21 will incur a $5 late fee per contestant. The contest begins at 8 a.m., and the awards ceremony will take place at the conclusion of the competition.

The judging contest features three divisions: Collegiate, Youth 14–18, and Youth 13 & Under. Contestants will have the opportunity to judge various halter and performance classes. Awards will be presented to the Top Five teams and Top 10 individuals in each division and category (halter, performance, reasons and overall). Prizes will include trophies, buckles, plaques and more.
