Melanie Cox-Dayhuff joins the APHA Executive Committee

Melanie Cox-Dayhuff of Knightstown, Indiana, was elected to serve as a member of the APHA Executive Committee during the 2018 APHA Convention in Irving, Texas, on March 5. Garnering 63 percent of the 111 ballots cast, Melanie will serve as the Executive Committee’s Sixth Committee Member.

Due to term limits imposed for Executive Committee service, Past President Susie Shaw cannot again serve as the Immediate Past President. Travis Titlow of Lincoln, California, will serve in that role, per policies for such situations and the endorsement of the Executive Committee members.

The 2018–2019 APHA Executive Committee is as follows:

President: Craig Wood, Ph.D., Owenton, Kentucky
President-Elect: Mike Short, Shiner, Texas
Vice President: Casey West, Abilene, Kansas
Senior Committee Member: Karen Thomas, Morganton, North Carolina
Fifth Committee Member: Alison Umberger, Broad Run, Virginia
Sixth Committee Member: Melanie Cox-Dayhuff, Knightstown, Indiana
Immediate Past President: Travis Titlow, Lincoln, California
