Make a difference in the Paint community—become an APHA Star

Ordinary places call you interns. We call you Stars. That’s because we don’t just let anyone become a Star. We look for the best and the brightest to join APHA as part of our Star program. Are you interested in learning more about the Paint Horse breed and making a difference in APHA? Join us in Fort Worth as a Star intern; applications are due soon.

APHA Stars have the opportunity learn more about the world’s second-largest equine breed association and how we help preserve, promote and provide meaningful experiences with Paint Horses. Summer and fall opportunities are available, along with other year-round openings.

Apply to become an APHA Star

Summer Star Application Deadline: March 15
Fall Star Application Deadline: June 15

Stars will network with top-tier experts at APHA and throughout the Paint community, including at the APHA World Championship Show and APHA/WCHA Halter Million. Don’t worry, you won’t be asked to fetch coffee—APHA Stars are valuable personnel who contribute to the organization’s growth via important projects, event planning and more real-world activities.

College juniors, seniors and recent graduates are invited to apply; you’ll obtain real-world experience, boost your resumes and improve your professional skills in areas of value to the equine world. Animal/equine science, agribusiness, marketing, agricultural communications/journalism, public relations, business development and related subjects are ideal majors.
