Jr American Super Qualifier scheduled for 2019 APHA Youth World Show

As part of the 2019 APHA Youth World Championship Show in Fort Worth, Texas, APHA will host a Jr American Super Qualifier July 6-7. Events will include team roping, calf roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping and steer wrestling.

The Jr American Super Qualifier is an all-breed event taking place in the John Justin Arena at the Will Rogers Memorial Center. Entries will be accepted on site. This competition is a qualifying event for the 2020 Jr American Rodeo.

APHA’s world championship and sweepstakes (added money) speed event and roping classes take place July 4-5; if you ride a registered Paint Horse, plan on attending both events! No qualifying is required for the APHA Youth World Championship Show (but ownership rules do apply)—find more details about the Youth World Show at apha.com/ywcs. APHA offers world championship classes for barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, heading, heeling, steer stopping and breakaway roping (among other events). Entries are accepted until 5 p.m. the day before the event takes place; pre-enter by May 15 for the best deal.

“We are expecting a fun-filled, exciting weekend featuring up-and-coming youth rodeo talent,” Senior Director of Marketing Steven Hayes said. “If you are in the area, please stop by and cheer for some of the top rodeo talent from around the U.S.”
