Chrome wins 2020 APEX Grand award for magazine publishing

APHA’s Chrome magazine was recently honored with an APEX Grand Award, aligning Chrome as a top publication worldwide. The APEX awards, presented by Communications Concepts, Inc., is an international event that recognizes publishing excellence in all types of content fields, from small boutique publishers to those working for major companies like AARP and Ford Motor Company.

Chrome is the only equine publication to achieve an APEX Grand Award this year, and we’re truly honored to have our publication recognized on this stage,” Chrome Editor-In-Chief Jessica Hein said. “Chrome seeks to unite a love of Western culture with the values, equine beauty and individuality that are central to the Paint Horse community, and we’re excited to see our efforts recognized in the greater publication landscape.”

APEX Awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. APEX Grand Awards honor the outstanding works in each main category, while APEX Awards of Excellence recognize exceptional entries in each of the individual categories. Nearly 1,200 entries vied for top honors in this year’s contest.

All adult APHA members receive free access to Chrome magazine as a member benefit. Chrome is also the Official Publication of Mule Alley in the Fort Worth Stockyards and is distributed throughout the historic tourist area.
