APHA World Championship Show schedule now available

Time to start making plans! The 2017 APHA World Championship Show schedule is now available! Take a look and begin planning your trip to Fort Worth, Texas, today. The show takes place September 20–October 1 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

Some highlights for this year include:

8 New Classes Offered

  • Performance Halter for Mares, Stallions and Geldings
  • Solid Paint-Bred Performance Halter for Mares, Stallions and Geldings
  • Solid Paint-Bred Ranch Riding & Solid Paint-Bred Ranch Trail

 Classes Discontinued

  • Broodmares
  • Breeders’ Futurity Classes for Cutting, Reining and Barrel Racing

New Program Additions

  • WCHA Breeder’s Championship Futurity and The Big Money Futurity will be held in conjunction with the 2017 APHA World Show
  • Lynn Simons Memorial Halter Futurity will be held in conjunction with the Amateur Yearling halter classes.
  • APHA HorseIQ World Championship Judging Contest

Continued Alliance Partnerships

  • ACHA/APHA Cowtown Cutting
  • USTRC Cowtown Shootout will continue to be held in conjunction with the APHA World Show
  • Southern Belle Breeders’ Classes
  • The Breeders Halter Futurity (Des Moines, IA) Bonus Payout

Solid Paint-Bred Added Money Opportunities

  • Solid Paint-Bred horses that carry at least one Paint-pattern gene are invited to participate in all non-pointed, non-World Championship classes with a few exceptions. This includes most sweepstakes and challenge classes.
