APHA magazines win design & writing honors from Apex awards contest

Chrome and Paint Horse Journal both received Awards of Excellence from the Communications Concepts’ Apex awards contest.

  • Chrome: Design & Illustration—Covers, for the Spring 2021 Chrome cover “Locks to Love”
  • Paint Horse Journal: Magazines, Journals & Tabloids – Print (entire issue-over 32 pages plus cover)

The Apex awards contest recognizes excellence in publishing by professional communicators, including graphic design, editorial content and overall communications excellence. The competition drew more than 1,200 entries across the entire communications landscape, including companies like AARP, Pfizer, National Football League and Augusta National Golf Club. APHA had the only equine-focused magazines honored with awards.
