The 2020 APHA Youth World Championship Show is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to welcome you and your Paint Horse to Fort Worth, Texas, June 22–July 5. The tentative show schedule is available at apha.com/ywcs or at the link below.
APHA is planning on hosting the APHA Youth World Show as currently scheduled; however, we are continuing to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and will follow the direction and guidance of federal, state and local authorities. We will be sure to communicate any changes as soon as possible. Should the Youth World Show be canceled due to COVID-19, full refunds will be granted, so there’s absolutely no risk in sending in your pre-entries to qualify for the best rates!
Pre-Entry Deadline: May 29, 2020
New Classes for 2020:
- Youth Tobiano Color Class
Youth Overo Color Class
Remember, all horses must be owned/leased by the exhibitor or an eligible family member per Rule YP-015 as recorded by APHA postmarked by the pre-entry deadline, May 29. Youth or eligible family members who own/lease their horses after the May 29 postmark deadline (as recorded by APHA) are eligible to compete for Youth World Show titles and awards upon payment of a $500 fee (applied to the APHF Youth World Show Scholarship Fund), but they will not be eligible to earn scholarship money.
All APHA world championship and Chrome Cash Challenge cutting classes (for Youth, Open and Amateur) will also continue to take place in the summer, in conjunction with the Youth World Show. Cutting will not be held in September at the Open/Amateur World Show, except for Ranch Cutting. (No crossover is allowed between Cutting and Ranch Cutting.)
