APHA is excited to announce the winners of the 2019-2020 AjPHA Youth Member of the Year, Youth Club of the Year and From the Heart Award winners. These contests are offered annually to honor outstanding Youth and regional clubs for their community participation, leadership, promotion of the American Paint Horse and more! Congratulations to the following winners:

Youth Member of the Year

The 2019-2020 AjPHA Youth Member of the Year is Sabine Lazo of Caldwell, Texas. This award is presented to an AjPHA member that exemplifies the spirit of community involvement, volunteer work and leadership. To recognize Sabine’s outstanding achievements, she will receive a custom Gist Silversmiths trophy buckle and a $1,000 scholarship.

AjPHA Club of the Year & From the Heart awards

For the AjPHA Youth Club of the Year and From the Heart awards, one exceptional AjPHA regional club won both contests: the New England Paint Horse Youth Club. This club has been diligently promoting the American Paint Horse and community participation while also being a new AjPHA regional club. The New England Paint Horse Youth Club will receive $1,000 from APHA for the Youth Club of the Year award and an additional $500 courtesy of Markel Insurance for the From the Heart Award.

Congratulation to this year’s winners—AjPHA is proud of all applicants and the work they have done for the association as well as their community.
