Six advance to 2027 Board of Directors consideration

2027 Board of Directors

The Nominating & Leadership Development Committee announced six candidates who are moving forward for consideration for open seats on the 2027 Board of Directors. APHA state directors will vote in February 2027 to fill four vacancies on the board.

Nominees for the 2027 Board of Directors are:

  • John Andersen, Broomfield, Colorado
  • Karen Banister, Brighton, Colorado
  • Lisa Laplace, Perrin, Texas
  • Anna Olsen, Big Sky, Montana
  • Tim Snapp, New Carlisle, Ohio
  • Larry Volkmar, Highland, Illinois

Voting takes place at the APHA Leadership Gathering & Membership Meeting, scheduled for February 25–28, 2027, in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Nominating & Leadership Development Committee is a dedicated group of individuals elected to present nominations for positions on the Board of Directors and the NLDC. Members include Diane Alves, Mike Holloway, James Howard, Sandy Curl, Delena Doyle, Sheri Grinstead, Helena Ryan, Jennifer Barbee and Cindy Chilton-Moore.
