Nearly $7,000 in Chrome Cash paid at 2023 ARHFA World Finals
Paint ropers cashed in at the 2023 ARHFA World Finals, where almost $7,000 in Chrome Cash was awarded. The American Rope Horse Futurity Association World Finals took place October 18-21, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas. Covered by Cori Equine & Cattle Insurance added $3,000 to the Chrome Cash purse.
Relentless Remuda’s Miles Baker and Little Ruf Gunner scored a $1,000 Chrome Cash jackpot in the Open Futurity Heading, while National Finals Rodeo veteran Colby Lovell pocketed $1,100 Chrome Cash in the Open Futurity Heeling with Docs Dunnit With Jazz. Non-Pros cashed in, too, with JR Marshall and Southern Cattitude coming up winners in the Non-Pro Heading while Jared Crain and CFR Arete Gun scored the entire Chrome Cash purse in the Non-Pro Heeling.
Chrome Cash is a sidepot paid to participating APHA horses at select events, offered as a class within a class. Contestants pay an entry fee, which helps fund the jackpot. Regular Registry and Solid Paint-Bred horses are both eligible to participate in Chrome Cash.
