Howard, Roden & Smith elected to APHA Board of Directors

Jamie Howard, Laurie Roden and Kevin Smith were elected to the APHA Board of Directors for three-year terms. The election took place March 2 as part of the 2025 APHA & AjPHA Leadership Gathering in Fort Worth, Texas.

Members of the 2025 APHA Board of Directors are:

  • President-Elect & Officer Mike Holloway, Brandon, Mississippi
  • Board Member Peggy Cummings, Sedalia, Colorado
  • Board Member Rachel Kooiker, Hudsonville, Michigan
  • Board Member Meredith Landy, Winchester, California
  • Board Member Karen Banister, Brighton, Colorado
  • Board Member Monika Hagen, Haldenwang, Germany
  • Board Member Christina Shanahan, Raleigh, North Carolina
  • Board Member Jamie Howard, Wayne, Oklahoma
  • Board Member Laurie Roden, Phoenix, Arizona
  • Board Member Kevin Smith, Magnolia, Texas
  • Immediate Past President Kelly Boles Chapman, Bellevue, Michigan

Two spots were also open for the 2025 Nominating & Leadership Development Committee. State directors elected Sheri Grinstead and Helena Ryan to fill those positions.
