World champions defended their titles, first-time exhibitors stepped into the spotlight and dreams years in the making unfolded one ride at a time during the 2026 APHA World Championship Show. For 16 days, Fort Worth, Texas, became the gathering place for the global Paint Horse family, where competitors from 50 states and countries came together to celebrate world-class competition and the unmistakable pride that comes with showing Paint Horses.
The 2026 World Show awarded more than $1.5 million in cash and prizes while attracting 4,771 entries and 1,153 horses across 343 classes. The event also saw notable growth in several divisions, led by Novice Youth, Novice Amateur and Amateur Walk-Trot classes, while millions followed the action through APHA’s digital platforms.
The premier Paint Horse event also hosted the Interscholastic Equestrian Association Western National Finals and Honoring Freedom Night presented by the Airpower Foundation, National Snaffle Bit Association, Two Ravens Foundation and American Paint Horse Foundation, which featured Heroes on Horses and Veterans Slide competitions. Beyond the show pen, exhibitors and spectators enjoyed Ride the Pattern clinics, Youth Team Tournament, Youth Judging Contest, Youth Showdown, Stick Horse class, exhibitor receptions, and a variety of educational and networking opportunities throughout the event. The championship took place June 19–July 4 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
