APHA earned two honors from the 2026 APEX Awards for Publication Excellence contest. Paint Horse Journal won the honor in the “Magazines, Journals & Tabloids—Print (Long)” category. The APHA social media collection was recognized for outstanding “Social Media/Content Creation—Social Media Sites.”
The APEX Awards for Publication Excellence recognizes outstanding achievements in publishing, communications and design. With over 1,000 entries each year, this respected competition honors the contributions of organizations which produce exemplary work. These accolades reflect the association’s goal to provide world-class content across a variety of platforms that connect and serve the Paint Horse community.
APHA’s social media channels create relevant, impactful and informative content that highlights the beauty of Paints and the community that surrounds them. The creativity and contributions of Kensie Darst-Todd, Dylan Davidson and Jessica Hein were central to this success. Their efforts to create quality content for APHA’s channels—including Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn—along with associated platforms like the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering Facebook page represent the Communication team’s commitment to develop innovative content to best serve our members.
A cornerstone of the APHA community, the Paint Horse Journal is one of the association’s flagship publications. It combines high-quality journalism, photography and design to share member stories, expert advice, industry news and more. The dedication and craftsmanship of Editor Jessica Hein and Creative Director Jody Johnson were central to this success.
The entire APHA team is grateful to accept these awards and to continue building upon the accomplishments.
