Makena Porter & Jasper Diamond Lynx earn high-point Paint award at 2024 WDAA World Championship
AjPHA member Makena Porter of Snohomish, Washington, and Jasper Diamond Lynx earned the American Paint Horse breed high-score award at the 2024 WDAA World Championship Show. The pinnacle competition for the Western Dressage Association of America took place September 18–22 in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
Makena and Jasper Diamond Lynx earned an 82.147% score to earn the high-point Paint title. They also earned the Lynn Palm Future Stars Awards at Basic and Level 1, were the high-score winner for Level 1–5 Freestyle, champion Junior overall for Level 1 and reserve champion Junior overall for Basic Level.
They secured championship titles in eight classes, in addition to their high-point honors:
- Champion: Basic Level Test 1 Junior
- Champion: Level 1 Test 2 Junior
- Champion: Level 1 Test 3 Junior
- Champion: Level 1 Test 4 Junior
- Champion: Freestyle Level 1
- Reserve: Level 1 Test 1 Junior
- Reserve: Basic Level Test 3 Junior
- Reserve: Basic Level Test 4 Junior
Jasper Diamond Lynx is a 2016 red dun solid gelding by Sonnys Bar Chex (QH) and out of Lonesome Diamond Lil. Makena owns the gelding.
