2025 Breeders’ Trust point value increases by 34%
A third consecutive year of point value increases and a new leading stallion highlight the 2025 Breeders’ Trust results. This year’s point value is $15.15, paid to Open and Amateur points earned by participating horses. It’s a 34% increase over 2024 figures—a testament to the enduring success of the 32-year-old incentive program.
Young gun tobiano stallion One And Only Asset secured his “spot” as the 2025 Breeders’ Trust Leading Sire. He’s joined by returning champ He Has Six Witnesses, who earned his second Breeders’ Trust Leading Earner title in 2025.
“The Breeders’ Trust continues to financially reward everyone responsible for the success of an outstanding foal, APHA Director of Incentive Programs Matt Arias said. “I’m thrilled to see the Breeders’ Trust continue to thrive over 30 years since its inception in 1994. The last time we saw a point value in the $15 range was in 2010. The Breeders’ Trust program, in cooperation with other APHA incentives like Paynt Points, help enhance the appeal of owning, breeding and showing Paint Horses. Thank you to all who continue to support this program.”
