Paint reiners had a hot ticket to extra cash at the 2026 NRBC in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A total of 140 exhibitors took a shot at nearly $40,000 in exclusive Chrome Cash payouts at this year’s National Reining Breeders Classic, which took place April 14–25, 2026.
Chrome Cash is a unique class-within-a-class competition at select Western performance events that provides exclusive sidepots for Paint Horses, thereby incentivizing owning, breeding and showing Paints.
Top-scoring Paints held their own in the all-breed slide, too. Open Chrome Cash winner Golden Coins took the top spot overall, too, scoring a 231.5. Non-Pro Chrome Cash co-champions Ruf Jewels and Stoppingforstarbucks tied for reserve honors, just a half-point behind the flashy Geronemo (APHA registration now pending), who scored a 220 with Reed Kyle.
