2025 horseIQ Hippology Challenge
The horseIQ Hippology Challenge is an educational contest designed to test Youth members’ knowledge and practical skills in the horse industry. Open to participants age 18 and under, the challenge covers a broad range of topics. Participants compete online through horseIQ, where they enroll in the challenge and complete a series of test sections.
The contest consists of six sections: Tack & Equipment, Genetics, Reproduction & Evolution, Colors, Anatomy & Patterns, Feed & Nutrition, Safety & Disease, and Judging & Conformation. Each section featured a unique, randomly selected set of questions, ensuring every contestant faces fresh challenges. Combined scores from all sections determined the overall winners, with time taken as a tiebreaker.
Top finishers receive PH Barn Door gift cards, recognizing their dedication and expertise in horsemanship.
“APHA congratulates all participants for their hard work and commitment to learning, and we look forward to seeing even more youth take part in future challenges,” Director of Competition Development Elizabeth Lawhorn said.
