Midili & McCutcheon top 2024 NRHA Futurity Chrome Cash
More than 100 Paint Horses added Chrome Cash to their dance card at the 2024 National Reining Horse Association Futurity, where more than $26,000 was on the line just for Paints. The class-within-a-class exclusively for registered Paint Horses took place during the preliminary round for the Open and Non-Pro futurities at the premier reining horse event. The NRHA Futurity runs November 25–December 7 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Open Futurity
A total of 60 entries competed for $15,250 in Chrome Cash; the Top 15 received payouts. Special congratulations to:
- Champion: Mirko Midili & JL Mark My Word, a 2021 palomino overo stallion by Gunnatrashya x Wimpys Little Chic (QH)—$3,507
- Reserve: Andrea Fappani & The Hosss, a 2021 sorrel overo stallion by Colonels Shining Gun x Brennas Dream (QH)—$2,135
- 3rd: Kole Price & Picture Perrfect, a 2021 gray solid stallion by Spooks Gotta Whiz x TR Pats Silver Whiz—$1,601
Non-Pro Futurity
A total of 42 entries vied for $11,425 in the Non-Pro Futurity Chrome Cash class, which paid out to the Top 15.
