Stallion Service Auction
The APHA Stallion Service Auction is an annual fundraiser that helps ensure the growth and progress of Paint racing. Stallion owners donate breedings to be auctioned off as part of the fundraiser, and proceeds go to APHA.
Participation in the APHA Stallion Service Auction is open to owners of registered American Paint Horse, Appaloosa, American Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred stallions for which at least one breeding has been donated.
How it Works
The auction takes place in December and January annually.
For more information on breedings and fees, review the auction website.
The Auction
Participation stallions are compiled on the auction site, and bidders register their bids through that platform. The winning bidder is required to make payment to APHA once the auction ends.
After payment, APHA provides contact details for the winner and stallion contact with both parties. It is the responsibility of the stallion owner or breeding facility and the purchaser to make all necessary arrangements for breeding.
APHA is not responsible for scheduling the dates or paying any additional charges for the breeding process.
