Stallion Service Auction

Overview

The APHA Stallion Service Auction is an annual fundraiser that helps ensure the growth and progress of Paint racing. Stallion owners donate breedings to be auctioned off as part of the fundraiser, and proceeds go to APHA.

Participation in the APHA Stallion Service Auction is open to owners of registered American Paint Horse, Appaloosa, American Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred stallions for which at least one breeding has been donated.

The auction will take place from December 1, 2026 through January 26, 2026 at 8PM CST.

How it Works

The Stallion Service Auction takes place annually in December and January on the auction website, where all participating stallions are listed. Bidders place their bids directly through the platform.

Once the auction ends, the winning bidder submits payment to APHA, after which APHA provides both the purchaser and stallion owner with each other’s contact details. From there, it is the responsibility of the stallion owner or breeding facility and the purchaser to coordinate all arrangements, including scheduling and any additional charges, as APHA is not involved in those aspects.
