Equilume signs as APHA Corporate Partner
Equilume, a worldwide leader in equine performance lighting solutions, has joined forces with APHA as the association’s newest corporate partner.
Founded in 2012, Equilume delivers innovative science-based solutions that maximize equine fertility, performance, and well-being. Their Equilume Light Mask was the first equine wearable technology developed to effectively influence seasonal changes in horses, according to their website equilume.com. Products like the Equilume Belfield Light Mask, Curragh Light Mask, Pro Light Mask and Stable Light help maximize equine fertility, performance and health. Ultimately, their vision is to develop lighting solutions that allow animals to live and behave more naturally, in tune with their environments, while benefiting their overall well-being.
Equilume products harness blue light therapy, which mimics natural daylight and optimizes a horse’s circadian rhythm. Research supports positive impacts of blue light therapy, which include enhancing breeding readiness and fertility, stronger foals, improving coat condition, stimulating immunity, promoting muscle development, reducing symptoms of pituitary pars intermedia dysfunction (PPID or Cushing’s Disesase) and more.
“Equilume is proud to partner with the American Paint Horse Association in a collaboration focused on advancing horse well-being and performance,” Equilume Chief Executive Officer Ronan Cox said. “By connecting with the APHA community, we can support more horses with innovative light-based solutions and continue building a stronger, healthier future for the industry together.”
APHA and Equilume are excited to work together to provide real-world solutions for horse owners and enhanced educational opportunities for members.
“We’re excited to see more Paint Horses in Equilume masks and under their performance lights,” APHA Sponsor Manager Amy Olson said. “This partnership benefits APHA by directly supporting our horse’s health and well-being.
