Youth & collegiate exhibitors shine at APHA’s 2025 horseIQ Judging Contest
By Kinley Humphries
The Watt Arena at Will Rogers Memorial Center was flooded with aspiring judges on September 24 for the 2025 APHA horseIQ Youth & Collegiate Judging Contest.
This year’s contest grew by 11.5% in entries, with a total of 132 contestants. A combined $3,300 in cash prizes and scholarships were awarded across four divisions. National Snaffle Bit Association and World Conformation Horse Association sponsored additional awards recognizing the top performance and halter individuals in each division, respectively. Top halter individuals were also commended at WCHA’s Hall of Fame Banquet. The contest took place in conjunction with the 2025 APHA/WCHA Halter Million championship show.
