$1.5M awarded at 2025 APHA/WCHA Halter Million

Paints made a splash at the 2025 APHA/WCHA Halter Million, where over $1.5 million in cash and prizes was awarded across nine days, September 20–28, in Fort Worth, Texas.
The show is a collaboration between APHA and the World Conformation Horse Association to provide a centralized, all-breed championship to the halter world, alongside Paint-specific world championship opportunities. The competition offered APHA world championships, APHA Breeders’ Futurity Gold & Platinum classes, WCHA Breeders’ Championship and WCHA Big Money all-breed futurities. New this year was the addition of jackpots in APHA Open and Amateur world championship classes.
Competitors from 36 U.S. states participated in this year’s event, along with exhibitors from two Canadian provinces, Italy and Holland.
2025 APHA/WCHA Halter Million Highlights:
- 385 total horses
- 2,067 total entries
- 38 APHA world championship classes
- 20 APHA Breeders’ Futurity classes
- 43 WCHA classes
- 38 Platinum Breeders’ Futurity participating sires
- $326,000 payout in Platinum Breeders’ Futurity classes
- $108,000 payout in Gold Breeders’ Futurity classes
- $22,822 payout in APHA jackpot classes
- Over $872,000 payouts in WCHA classes
- $7,350 payout in Youth world championship class scholarships
- $20,000 payout in the APHA/Breeders Halter Futurity Bonus
- 136 APHA horseIQ Collegiate & Youth Horse Judging contestants
