Paint Horse Journal & Chrome earn 2025 APEX Awards for Publication Excellence

APHA is proud to announce that its flagship publications, the Paint Horse Journal and Chrome, have been honored in the 2025 APEX Awards for Publication Excellence. The Paint Horse Journal received a 2025 APEX Award of Excellence in the “Magazines, Journals & Tabloids – Print (entire issue)” category. Chrome earned a 2025 APEX Award of Excellence for “Design & Layout.”

The APEX Awards, a highly respected annual competition drawing over 1,000 entries each year, celebrate outstanding achievement in publishing, communications and design. These accolades underscore APHA’s ongoing commitment to producing world-class publications that inform, inspire and connect the Paint Horse community.

Both the Paint Horse Journal and Chrome magazine serve as vital resources for APHA members, delivering in-depth stories, expert insights and stunning visuals that showcase the unique beauty and versatility of the American Paint Horse. Provided as a benefit of APHA membership, these publications are distributed to APHA members. Chrome is also the official publication of Mule Alley in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards.

“We are honored by the recognition of Paint Horse Journal and Chrome from the APEX Awards. These achievements are a testament to the dedication and creativity of our talented editorial and design teams,” Senior Director of Communication Jessica Hein said.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our vibrant community and to share stories that make the Paint Horse world so special.”
