Reining fans across Europe witnessed a surge of color and talent at the 2025 NRHA European Futurity in Cremona, Italy, where the American Paint Horse Association’s Chrome Cash program took center stage. With a record-breaking 70 entries—a huge increase in participation from previous years—the Paint Horse presence was undeniable, and so was the payout: more than $12,000 in Chrome Cash was awarded, including $8,000 in added money courtesy of APHA.
“This year’s turnout was incredible, and the level of competition was inspiring,” said Irene Stamatelakys, APHA’s director of international membership. “From Non-Pro to Open, riders and owners proved that Paints can compete and win at the highest levels in Europe.”
Topping it all was the electric performance of Andrea Fappani and Hosss, who thrilled the crowd with a stunning 225.5 to capture the NRHA Euro Futurity Open Level 4 Chrome Cash title. Their ride wasn’t just a win—it was a homecoming celebration that underscored the international power of the Paint Horse in the reining pen.
