Trillions & Hes So That win 2024 Breeders’ Futurity Leading Sire honors
Two APHA stallions—Trillions and Hes So That—were honored September 28 as leading sires of the 2024 APHA Breeders’ Futurity Gold and Platinum divisions. The awards were presented at the 2024 APHA/WCHA Halter Million, which took place September 21–29 in Fort Worth, Texas.
2024 Leading Sire—Gold Breeders’ Futurity
For the second consecutive year, Trillions was named the leading sire of Gold Breeders’ Futurity earners. Nine foals by Trillions won a combined $15,051 in Gold Breeders’ Futurity classes at the Halter Million. Trillions is a 2017 sorrel overo stallion owned by Jim and Georgia Snow of Quinlan, Texas.
Mr Harvey Spector, a 2024 sorrel overo stallion, was Trillions’ highest-earning foal in the Gold Breeders’ Futurity this year. He was reserve champion in the Gold Senior Weanling Stallions and Geldings class and won an impressive $2,717 payout with exhibitor Ted Turner.
2024 Leading Sire—Platinum Breeders’ Futurity
With six foals earning a combined $44,277 in Platinum Breeders’ Futurity classes this year, Hes So That was named the leading sire of Platinum earners. Susan and Phillip Drawdy of Fort Pierce, Florida, own the 2009 sorrel overo stallion.
Im That Gent was the highest-earning Platinum offspring this year for Hes So That. The 2024 sorrel overo stallion won the Platinum Non-Pro Weanling Stallions class with owner Robin Robinett and took home a $12,421 payout.
