Snow Gun & Andrea Fappani tapped for 2024 NRHA Hall of Fame

APHA connections Snow Gun and Andrea Fappani are part of the 2024 National Reining Horse Association Hall of Fame class. They’ll be inducted as part of the Sliders’ Night Out celebration on December 4 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Snow Gun

The nearly all-white mare Snow Gun (pictured above, photo by Waltenberry courtesy NRHA) turned heads in the show pen and the breeding barn. She had more than $120,000 in lifetime earnings herself. As a broodmare, she produced earners of more than $432,345. Her offspring include Electric Snow, Yankee Gun, Its All Gun, Gunstep, Wimpys Snow Step and APHA world champion Its All About Snow. A full sister to NRHA Hall of Famer Gunnatrashya, Snow Gun is by APHA and NRHA Hall of Fame Sire Colonels Smokingun and out of Natrasha. The late mare was bred by Katarina Dorminy of Fitzgerald, Georgia, and owned by Andre de Bellefeuille of St-Basile-Le-Grand, Quebec, Canada.

Andrea Fappani

For more than 20 years, Andrea Fappani has excelled as a top NRHA professional. He’s NRHA’s all-time leading rider and its only $9 Million Rider and a Million Dollar Owner, as well. The Italian-born trainer is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is an APHA member along with his wife, Tish, and son, Luca.

 

APHA Corporate Partner Markel will also be honored at the event. They’ll take home the Dale Wilkinson Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing their global presence and lasting impact on the equine community. Read more at news.nrha.com.
