APHA influencers head to WCHA Hall of Fame
Three APHA influencers are being inducted into the 2024 WCHA Hall of Fame on September 25, immortalized for their contributions to the World Conformation Horse Association. Congratulations to the following APHA members and horse:
- RH Imprinted—This 1997 sorrel overo stallion earned four APHA world championships at halter between 1999-2005; he then passed on his winning ways as the sire of 378 registered Paints, many of which earned their own world titles and other honors. He was inducted into the APHA Hall of Fame in 2021.
- Billy Steele—A veteran horse trainer, exhibitor and judge, the horseman from Corsicana, Texas, has served as an APHA judge since 2010 and is a longstanding show steward for the APHA World Championship Show.
- Terry Bradshaw—The NFL Hall of Famer from Saint Jo, Texas, embraced a lifelong love of horses to become a noted breeder and exhibitor.
The late Ron McMillian, an APHA member and beloved ring steward, is also being honored at the ceremony with the Bruce Walquist Spirit Award, which recognizes a WCHA professional who embodies professionalism and kindness toward others.
The WCHA Hall of Fame Banquet takes place September 25 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas. The event is part of the 2024 APHA/WCHA Halter Million, September 21-29.
