CS Pawn Stars, Reining Royalty & more score Chrome Cash at the 2023 NRHA Futurity

Nearly $20,000 was offered exclusively for Paint reiners at the 2023 NRHA Futurity, thanks to APHA’s Chrome Cash program. The incentive attracted 78 participating Paints who vied for Chrome Cash payouts at the National Reining Horse Association’s premier competition.

CS Pawn Stars* and Dany Tremblay took the top spot in the 2023 NRHA Futurity Open Chrome Cash incentive, marking a 225 in the first go—the high-score of any Level 4 or Level 3 team. The pair earned nearly $3,100 in Chrome Cash payouts. Reining Royalty and Gina-Maria Schumacher were the NRHA Non-Pro Futurity Chrome Cash victors, marking a 219.5 to score the $1,668 incentive payout. Chrome Cash paid out 15 spots in the Open and 13 spots in the Non-Pro.

“He is a very nice show horse, very simple to ride and he gives you a lot of confidence,” Schumacher told NRHA about her blue-eyed stallion. “It’s great to have these opportunities because it just gives you more chances to prove your horse can do good in multiple divisions.”

The 2023 NRHA Futurity kicked off November 21 and continued through December 2, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
