Barrel Racing
Barrel Racing
Paint Horses are favorite mounts for barrel racing events, from local playdays to professional rodeos. In addition to offering barrel-racing events at APHA-approved competitions, APHA brings the association to barrel racers at events they already attend. APHA’s Paint Barrel Racing Incentive Program encourages ownership and breeding of speed-bred Paint Horses by offering Paint-exclusive sidepots at participating events nationwide.
PBRIP
Paint-Exclusive Sidepots
Founded in 2013, PBRIP—Paint Barrel Racing Incentive Program—bridges the gap between barrel racers who run Paints and APHA. PBRIP brings the breed to you at barrel-racing events nationwide by adding money to sidepots exclusively for participating, PBRIP-enrolled Paints. Each year, PBRIP pays out more than $125,000 at events around the country, along with a huge 4D added-money sweepstakes at the APHA World Championship Show and PBRIP year-end championship awards.
